Pronouns

A pronoun replaces a noun so you do not repeat it. English changes the word depending on the job it does in the sentence, and that is the whole difficulty. One table solves it.

Six things to remember

Subject pronoun goes before the verb.
She teaches English.
Object pronoun goes after the verb or after a preposition.
I met her. Give it to him.
Possessive adjective sits before a noun; possessive pronoun stands alone.
This is my bag. This bag is mine.
Its means belonging to it. It's means it is.
The dog wagged its tail. It's raining.
Reflexive pronouns are used when the subject and the object are the same person.
She taught herself English.
English has one word for both singular and plural you.
Do not write yous or you people in an exam.
